22 Apr 2017
Riverside Country Park in Rainham will transform into a trio of exciting zoned areas for the annual English festival which will be held on Saturday, 22 April from 11am to 5pm.
The English Festival is a fun-packed day out for the whole family celebrating the most iconic and ironic of English traditions, with three themed areas - The Countryside Experience, Iconic England and Village Square located around the country park.
This year’s event will feature a new Iconic England zone, where visitors will be able to enjoy a performance by St George and the dragon, while playing a spot of bingo! There will also be an appearance by Mods on scooters.
The Village Square will feature a new English high street, land train and bandstand entertainment. And we will be holding a town crier competition – not to be missed!
The final zone is The Countryside Experience, packed with baby farm animals waiting for hugs in the petting corner, shire horses, sheep shearing, and for the adults, a real ale bar.

Park & Walk from Bloors Wharf - £2 per vehicle.
