Rocketing to fame in the 1970s with the smash hit Rock Your Baby, George continued to set the music world on fire with two platinum singles, two platinum albums and fourteen gold records along with top music awards from all over the globe.
George spearheaded the whole "Miami Sound" which became the nation's disco taste and the record that set the standard for every other pop recording artist to follow was Rock Your Baby. It sold in excess of 52 million copies making it one of the biggest selling pop records in history. Voted the "No. 1 Single of the Year" by Rolling Stone Magazine.
George is back with a newly recorded album called Love, an authentic blend of soul, funk, pop and disco. We are thoroughly looking forward to welcoming George to our spectacular Soul Party.
The glory days of top vocal group Odyssey, one of the most successful soul/disco acts of their era, culminated in the early 1980s when they topped the charts with Use It Up And Wear It Out. Scoring several other Top Ten hits in Britain and throughout the world.
They performed around the UK, Europe and The Middle East through the 80s and into the 90s, appearing on television and touring arenas, top hotels, clubs and festivals.
It's said that "old school" is today's "new school" and Odyssey’s current sound combines the best of both these worlds.
As Part of 'M People' and with hits such as Moving On Up, One Night In Heaven and Search For The Hero as well as albums achieving massive worldwide success, Heather Small became one of the seminal British voices of the 1990s.
The band won the Best British Dance Act Award at the Brits in 1994 and 1995, as well as the Mercury Music Prize for Elegant Slumming.
Heather has since had great successes with two solo albums – the title track of her Proud album has gone on to become the soundtrack to a whole host of very special events.
So what gives Heather the impetus to keep moving forward, to keep challenging herself and to keep trying new things? “If you got the feeling I do when I sing” she smiles, “you'd understand”.
