Summer at the Dockyard
29th July - 1st September 2019
Come rain or shine, The Historic Dockyard Chatham has you covered for a Great British Summer holiday!
From the 29th July to the 1st September, The Historic Dockyard Chatham will be jam-packed full of summer fun, whether there’s rain or sunshine!
A HUGE beach will appear for the summer holidays, including traditional beach huts, deck chairs and plenty of sand! You’re bound to love the retro beach which will be filled with nostalgia from the British seaside holidays of the 70s & 80s! Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your bucket and spade - there will be plenty available for free with any kids’ meal at the restaurant. Once you’ve soaked up some sun and made the perfect sandcastle, why not join our resident scientists “Doc and Bunsen” up on the Mezzanine Pier for the ‘Science of Superheroes’.
With lots of activities and a show for families of all ages, you’ll see amazing experiments such as the ’Amazing Moving Hand’, the ‘Strongest Child in the World’ and the ‘Incredible Hulk’s Intestines’.
All these activities are included in the annual ticket and visitors will have plenty of time to explore the 80-acre site too - with 3 play areas, a working Victorian Ropery, 3 Historic Warships and much more!
