Wild about Capstone

A celebration of being outdoors and enjoying the natural environment.

Promoting rural crafts, arts, farming and local food and drink.

This year's event has got something for all the family including craft, ranger-led walks, kite displays, Capstone Alpacas and a variety of stalls.

Taking place between 11am-3pm.

Ranger activities: Including:

  • Drop-in ranger led craft activities running from 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm.
  • Ranger-led walks (bookable on the day)

Other family activities including:

  • Self-led Countryside Code trail
  • Kite displays by the Kent Kite Flying Association
  • Meet the Capstone Alpacas

Organisations that will be in attendance on the day include:

  • Dog Warden Team Medway Council 
  • Birdwise
  • Environmental Engagement Team (Recycling)
  • Public Health Active Travel Nordic Walking
  • Climate Change Team
  • Medway Adult Education Nature Crafts Workshop
  • Creatabot: Make a Mini Park family activity.
  • Child Friendly Medway
  • Plastic Free Medway

Farmers market style-stalls (sustainably made products, local food and drink, and rural crafts)

The event will be held at the southern end of Capstone at the Orchard (next to Orchard car park).  For families parking at the main or overflow car parks, an activity trail will run from these locations to the event site.
