There's lots of things taking place in Medway this summer to keep the kids entertained throughout the school holidays.

Hop on board the Explore Medway open top bus as it takes you on a fascinating journey through history stopping at various points of interest on way - simply purchase your all day, hop on/hop off ticket from the driver.

Explore the heritage trails and hand-on craft activities taking place at the castles and Temple Manor, see the amazing historical lego scenes at Brick History at The Historic Dockyard Chatham.    For educational and research, why not pay a visit to the special exhibitions to commemorate WW1 at the Royal Engineers Museum in Gillingham or discover more about the Knights Templars at Rochester's Guildhall Museum.

During the weekend of 11 and 12 August, step back in time to medieval times at Rochester Castle's free family event, Medieval Merriment and experience life in the living history camp.

Don't forget to make the most of the school holidays but enjoying the open green spaces at the country parks, chill out at the Strand Leisure Park's outdoor pool and of course, there's buckets of fun to be had at Diggerland
