🪲 Crickets, Grasshoppers & Butterfly Hunt with Clay Craft

Come along and look for insects in the long grasses with nets and then create your own clay bug to take home. Join us for this family event, where you will be inspired by the parks wildlife to create your own clay insect to take home.  
We will hunt in the long grass for wildlife with sweep nets so long sleeves and trousers are advisable.  

Activity is free but booking is essential. 
Children need a booking, adults do not.

Come along and learn about the trees and wildlife in the park. Go exploring the park and creating your own clay bug and bug house. Decorate and build your own bug home to take home with you or hang in the park, plus make your own clay bug to take home.  

Please wear old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. 

Activity is free but booking is essential.

Comb the beaches and discover the secrets of the shoreline. In this session we will be turning stones and lifting seaweed to find the creatures that live in mud and on the coast. Then return to the visitor centre and make pictures from the sand.

Enter the meadow and discover a world of minibeasts! In this session you will be learning about the bugs in the meadow by catching them in your net and identifying what you find. Then we will repay the bugs by building mini bug houses for you to take home.
