Medway’s creative life takes over Rochester Cathedral this Summer
Art on the Delta is a major free Summer exhibition at Rochester Cathedral, bringing contemporary art, free family activities, films and quieter moments of reflection into Medway’s most significant free-to-enter shared space.
Art on the Delta turns Rochester Cathedral into a public stage for Medway's creative life at full scale. Across August 2026, the Cathedral will become the setting for ambitious contemporary work, public making and reflective encounter - as one shared invitation. This is about presenting the artists, ideas and energy shaping Medway now with real confidence, scale and openness.
Throughout the Cathedral, expect large-scale contemporary art, free making, family routes in, films, artist encounters and quieter corners for slower looking and pause.
Art on the Delta is designed to move between spectacle and sanctuary.
