Heritage Open Days 2026

Every September thousands of volunteers across England organise events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture.

The 2026 Heritage Open Days will take place from 11 to 20 September.

This nationwide annual event offers free entry to thousands of hidden spaces, historic buildings, and cultural activities across the UK.

This section is dedicated to events and activities in Medway. It’s a unique opportunity to discover what’s right on your doorstep, go behind the scenes of buildings undergoing major restoration, and explore places that are not usually open to the public.
