Come by The Royal Engineers Museum to see a new exhibition on the Mulberry Harbours, these harbours revolutionised engineering as we know it.
The Royal Engineers Museum is proud to unveil an exhibition drawing on the original plans and artefacts of the legendary Mulberry Harbours — a daring solution that changed the course of history.
Thanks to a £233,976 grant from @HeritageFundUK, thousands of wartime blueprints, models, and even an original anchor are being conserved and digitised for the first time since 1944!
These floating harbours enabled the landing of 220,000 troops, 40,000 vehicles, and 680,000 tons of supplies in Normandy — a feat of engineering brilliance.
